Okay people, now that its nice outside, I don’t know about you, but I’m looking for that quick refreshing drink to give me fuel. I have been making the most of the weather outside lately and running, and its nice to make something quick in the blender to keep me going. Side note- I have had a ton of clients sick lately, so I figured this smoothie will fit in nicely…bring on the antioxidants (And warm weather)!!

This serving size is meant for two- I usually blend mine and save my second serving for the next day, just add ice!

-9 ingredients

-10 minutes

 

Directions:

-Throw all the ingredients into your blender and blend very well until creamy. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

-1 cup pureed pumpkin

-1 banana (frozen)

-1/2 tsp. turmeric

-1/4 tsp. cinnamon

-1 ½ tsp. ginger

-1 tbsp. ground flax seed

-3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

-2 navel oranges (peeled and sectioned)

-1 tbsp. maple syrup

Notes:

-No pureed pumpkin: use steamed sweet potato instead

-More protein: add protein powder, hemp hearts, or nut butter

-No maple syrup: sweeten with raw honey or soaked dates instead
